25.10.1932: Berlin Bauhaus Classes Begin
Classes began on this day in 1932 in the Berlin Bauhaus – a school of design founded by Walter Gropius in 1919. The Bauhaus movement believed that art and industry should be brought together and take inspiration from one another. However, the classes in the former factory were short-lived as the school was disbanded by the Nazis in 1933, and 32 of its students were put under temporary arrest.
