1589: Beginning of Construction of Court Brewery  
This is unheard of irony. The theme tune for what is surely the most famous public house in Germany (perhaps in the world, but we don’t want to exaggerate) was written by a Prussian, Wiga Gabriel, in the year 1936. At that time, the “Wirtshaus am Platzl” (Pub on the Square) in Munich was already a renowned institution and nothing has changed since then.
