1989: Herrhausen Murdered  
It was a beautifuful, crisp late autumn day in Bad Homburg on the morning of 30 November 1989. At around 8.30 in the morning, Dr. Alfred Herrhausen was being driven to work in an armour-plated limousine which was escorted by bodyguards. At 8.34 am Herrhausen was dead. The car was blown up -- he was the victim of a terrorist bomb attack.
